Description
SigmaDrugs Ltd is a Budapest-based biotech start-up company founded in 2015. Our innovations aim to improve the quality of life by treating fibrosis. We recently discovered that Sigma-1 receptor agonists may be a promising first-in-class treatment for chronic fibrotic diseases, including end-stage renal failure, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and glaucoma. Our patents have been accepted in the US, Europe, Israel, China, and Japan. A Phase II clinical study investigating lung fibrosis caused by COVID-19 was concluded in 2022. The clinical phase I-II studies of our newly developed eyedrop in the treatment of glaucoma will be started soon. We have the ideal infrastructure for preclinical and clinical studies, and through an uncompromising commitment to quality, our solutions will also provide savings for the healthcare systems.
