Description
RoLink Biotechnology is a Hungarian deep-tech biotech company founded by two medical students in Pécs and operating in close collaboration with the National Laboratory of Virology at the University of Pécs, providing access to advanced BSL-3/BSL-4 research and validation capabilities.
Our core technology is a scalable UV-based viral inactivation platform developed to enable the rapid, safe and cost-effective processing of viral materials while preserving biologically relevant structures for downstream applications. The platform supports the production of diagnostic reference materials and positive controls, as well as vaccine development, immunological research and other biotechnology workflows.
Originally initiated during the COVID-19 pandemic, the technology has since progressed to TRL 5+ and is being further validated for high-containment and international applications. Its modular architecture enables integration into both laboratory and industrial workflows and adaptation to different pathogens and processing requirements.
Working with the National Laboratory of Virology and a growing network of European research, industrial and defence partners, RoLink participates in international R&D and European Defence Fund projects focused on pandemic preparedness and biological threat response.
Our long-term goal is to establish a rapidly deployable and scalable biotechnology platform that can shorten the time required to develop safe reference materials, diagnostics and vaccine-related solutions when new infectious diseases or biological threats emerge.
