Genetic Immunity was founded in 2005. Using its proprietary genetic
immunization technology Genetic Immunity will provide significant advances
in the treatment of chronic viral diseases and cancer for which current
therapies are ineffective or have undesirable side effects. Genetic
Immunity's ultimate goal is to make the treatment of these diseases simple,
safe and economical. The core technology which will enable the achievement
of these goals has been built up over five years of R&D and investments,
and it involves the composition of a new DNA immunotherapeutic vaccine and
a dermatological topical delivery technology which when combined will
provide the required simple, safe, effective and economical treatments for
infectious diseases and cancers.
The company's lead product, DermaVir, a therapeutic vaccine against HIV
clade B has already achieved significant recognition in the scientific
community. In pre-clinical trials DermaVir has shown long-term disease
stabilization and significant immune response. Recently (since 2005)
DermaVir is under clinical trials in USA and EU.
The company's goal is to build a novel industry for therapeutic vaccines in
Hungary.
